More Christmas Festivities...

I got to do so many fun things! I learned how to make tamales with my student, Esther. She's the sweetest...

You cook the tamales for 5-8 hours in huge steaming pots like this... Esther taught me how to make sweet tamales with pineapple and raisins mixed in the masa, which is a little easier than the meat ones! :)

Esther and her aunt-in-law... We had so much fun! I got to try her pork rib tamales - nothing's better that I've had... so yummy!

Then JP and I went and looked at Christmas lights and exchanged gifts... it was so fun! :)
