We dropped off our stuff @ Erica's office and then went on the White House tour - not that impressive. It's okay - the most beautiful thing there were the gorgeous fresh flowers. Oh, and a funny story is that they have this screen thing in front of the fire that is there because when women used to visit the White House for tea or something, they'd wear makeup which was then made of beeswax. If they didn't have the screen, the beeswax makeup would start melting off the ladies' faces - that's where the phrase "Mind your beeswax" comes from! I thought that was pretty funny. Then Erica took us on a lovely tour of the Capital building which was very impressive - we even stood in the spot where you can whisper from one side of a noisy room and the other side can hear you - pretty cool. Then we went home with Erica and had dinner w/ her, Anna and Joe... and tried a canoli - not my favorite dessert... Then we basically just hung out some and went to sleep.
